Why buy HP Memory?
Ask the memory experts at ACS

Asset Conversion Services wants your used HP memory because the value is built-in and fairly recession proof. ACS can also upgrade your Proliant server with factory- new memory modules.

Use HP server memory options to improve the performance of your ProLiant servers and data centers.

Let Asset Conversion Services find the compatible HP DDR2 and DDR3 memory upgrades and options for your ProLiant server. ACS prides itself in its ability to upgrade your HP server, IBM, Sun Microsystems and Dell servers with new or used memory.

What's new for HP memory

DDR3

With the new generation AMD Opteron 6100-series, Intel Xeon 5600 and 7500-series based ProLiant Servers, the next generation of DDR memory comes to life with DDR3. In addition to the many G6 and G7 improvements, DDR3 memory provides many enhancements over DDR2 memory.

Brand-new DDR3 16GB dual rank PC3L-10600R-9 and 32GB quad rank PC3L-8500R-7 provide faster performance with less power and enable greater max memory capacities.

Low voltage DDR3 memory provides up to 70% reduction in the memory power footprint over DDR2 when using low voltage memory (from DDR2 at 1.8V to 1.5V and now 1.35V with DDR3). Low voltage memory is qualified on Intel Xeon processors 5600 series and AMD Opteron 6100 series processors.

Intel Xeon 7500 based servers such as the DL580 G7 and BL680c G7 ProLiant servers have up to 64 slots, enabling 1TB of memory footprint. The BL680c G7 is the first blade server on the planet to reach 1TB.

AMD G7 servers have up to 48 DIMM slots, allowing larger memory footprints of up to 512 GB on the DL585 G7.

Intel Xeon 5600 based servers have up to 18 slots, allowing up to 384GB capacity using the new 32GB quad rank DIMMs.

      Flexibility to choose DIMM type

      Registered RDIMMs

      Unbuffered UDIMMs

    DDR3 performance

    System performance will vary depending on several factors (Server model, CPU capability, DIMM type and number of DIMM’s populated) and result in the following typical bandwidth speeds;

    Dual-rank RDIMM

    1 DIMM Per Channel @ 1333MHz

    2 DPC @ 1333MHz (1.5V), 2DPC @ 1066MHz (1.35V)

    3 DPC @ 800MHz

Quad-rank RDIMM
1 DPC @ 1066MHz
    2 DPC @ 800MHz
    3 DPC not supported
Single and Dual-rank UDIMM
1 DPC @ 1333MHz
    2 DPC @ 1333MHz
    3 DPC not supported
DDR3 DIMM comparison
Registered DIMMs offer higher capacities, memory register support, address error detection
Unbuffered DIMMs offer smaller capacities, lower price points, basic ECC

If uncertain, go with RDIMMs for more flexibility
